Our own Weston Bridges Warriors win Special Olympics Region C, Division 6 Title, and will be advancing to the State Championship in Normal, IL on March 11 and 12.
The Warriors played the SEASPAR Spartans and the WDSRA Wildcats on Sunday, January 22nd winning both games with great teamwork.
This is our team’s first year in Special Olympics, and these wins go a long way towards solidifying a sense of community spirit for our residents. Parents and friends turned out in large numbers to cheer our team on, and excitement was running high throughout the two games.
On to the State Tournament!
We can’t wait to make our team’s first appearance at the State Tournament—win or lose, this is the first of many years of Special Olympics fun! Thanks to Head Coach Blake, and Assistant Coaches Mozelle and Cameron to helping lead our team to victory!
